Aim: Job boredom is one of the most common negative emotions in work environments that can lead to undesirable consequences for both individual and organizational performance. The present study was conducted with the aim of presenting and fitting a structural model of job boredom among nurses based on organizational safety climate and job embeddedness. Methods: This study was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlational in terms of data collection method, using a structural equation modeling approach. The statistical population consisted of all nurses working in hospitals of Bandar Mahshahr city in 2024, from which 116 individuals were selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using the Job Boredom Questionnaire (Zarei et al., 2022), the Job Embeddedness Questionnaire (Rahbari et al., 2020), and the Organizational Safety Climate Questionnaire (Sarsangi et al., 2014). Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation test and structural equation modeling with SPSS-27 and Smart PLS-4 software . Results: The findings indicated that organizational safety climate (β = -0.364, p < 0.01) and job embeddedness (β = -0.427, p < 0.01) had a significant negative relationship with job boredom. Moreover, these two variables together explained 54.5% of the variance in job boredo. Conclusion: Based on the research findings, organizational safety climate and job embeddedness are two effective factors in reducing nurses' job boredom. Therefore, it is suggested that healthcare managers and policymakers design educational and interventional programs to strengthen safety climate ,increase job attachment, thereby providing the groundwork for improving nurses' mental health and quality of work life.
