Factors affecting the success of career advancement strategies

Abstract

Objective: The present study was conducted by identifying the factors affecting the success of career advancement strategies.

Method: This study is applied in terms of its purpose and survey in terms of data collection. The statistical population of the study is experts, from whom 20 people were selected as sample members using purposive sampling method and based on the principle of theoretical saturation. The data collection tool in the qualitative part of the study is an interview and in the quantitative part is a questionnaire. The validity and reliability of the research interview were confirmed using the content validity method and theoretical validity and intra-coder and inter-coder reliability. The validity and reliability of the research questionnaire were also measured with content validity and test-retest. For data analysis in the qualitative part, the content analysis approach and coding method using MaxQDA software were used, and in the quantitative part, the fuzzy cognitive map method was used.

Findings: The research findings include identifying the factors affecting the success of career advancement strategies.

Conclusion: It shows that the most important factors affecting the success of career advancement strategies are the individual's professional planning and guidance to achieve career goals, the ability to adapt to changes and new challenges, having experience and specialized skills, coordinating personal values with organizational values, and using counseling and mentoring.
