Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve the performance of chemistry education student-teachers during the internship period in teaching the subject of "electrochemical cell" using the flipped classroom method. In order to monitor students' performance, teacher-centered clinical supervision was used, which was adapted for online education conditions by the researchers of this research. This research is a semi-experimental type and its statistical population is 100 male students of Panzdeh Khordad High School in Tehran. This high school is one of the schools where internships are held. The statistical sample of the research, based on Cochran's formula, is 60 students of that high school, who were selected purposefully and through holding a pre-test, which was evaluated in terms of reliability using Coder Richardson's method with a reliability of 0.82. were divided into two groups of 30 people, control and experimental. Based on the findings of this research, the flipped education method in the topic of electrochemical cell can be considered as an effective method in online education. On the other hand, the results of customized teacher-centered clinical supervision in online education show that verbal communication and attention to individual students, even to the extent of naming them in the online class, has a great impact on students' learning.
