Abstract

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between reward and happiness with the mediating role of work conflict among the employees of the Agricultural Research Education and Extension Organization in Tehran. Methods: The research method is applied in terms of purpose and description-survey research in terms of implementation method. The statistical population of this study included all employees working in the Agricultural Jihad Training Center of Tehran province, that is, a total of 460 people, 210 of whom were selected as a statistical sample based on the Morgan table and simple random sampling. Research tools included Schaufeli and Bakker’s Measurement of Work Engagement (2002), the Reward Satisfaction Scale of Paju et al. (2010), and the Oxford Happiness Inventory (1998). The collected data were analyzed using structural equation modeling with Smart PLS software. Results: A significant relationship was observed between the research variables and the research model (p≤0.01). Conclusion: According to the research findings, by managing the organization correctly and purposefully, financial and non-financial reward mechanisms can improve happiness in the workplace and increase employee engagement.
