Abstract

Aim: The present study modeled the relationship between thriving at work and career path adaptability and mediating the role of psychological capital in teachers. Methods: The research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population included all female teachers in the primary schools of the Education Organization in Tehran. Four hundred five individuals were selected using the random sampling of multi-stage clusters method. Thriving at work questionnaire (Porath, 2011), Career adaptability questionnaire (Savickas, 2012), and psychological capital questionnaire (Luthans, 2007) were used to collect data. Results: The findings showed that career path adaptability and psychological capital positively correlate with thriving at work. Also, the results of path analysis showed the mediating role of psychological capital in the relationship between career path adaptability and thriving at work. The hypothetical model of the research with experimental data has a good fit. Conclusion: According to the research findings, it can be concluded that career path adaptability can predict career success, and psychological capital can play an essential role in increasing thriving at work in teachers.
