Predict the mental health of teachers based on the variables of marital satisfaction and self-efficacy, with the mediation of job satisfaction in order modeling
Aim: The main objective of this study is to predict the mental health of teachers based on marital satisfaction, self-efficacy, social support and socio-economic status, with the mediation of job satisfaction has been in modeling.
Methods: Due to the nature and objectives of the research, research design is non-experimental and correlation. The study population consisted of all elementary and secondary school teachers has been Tehran city. 447 teachers with cluster random sampling were selected for this study. In order to collect research data from the General Health Questionnaire (28- GHQ), general self-efficacy questionnaire Sherer & colleagues(1982), Social Support Questionnaire Wax and colleagues(1986),Afrooz Marital Satisfaction Scale(2010),Dunnette Job Satisfaction Qestionnaire(1966) and form a self-made demographic) use was performed. for analysis of data with descriptive and inferential statistics(multivariate regression, test t)was used.
Results: The results showed that job satisfaction as a mediator failed relationship between self-efficacy, social support, socioeconomic status and marital satisfaction with the mediation of mental health. Due to the significant relationship between self-efficacy, marital satisfaction and mental health can be said that the model in the three path, self-efficacy to mental health, marital satisfaction to mental health and housing status to mental health fit. Therefore, it was concluded that self- efficacy, marital satisfaction and housing status has a direct impact on mental health and can Explain and predict (23%) of the variance in mental health.
Conclusion:According to the research findings, we can conclude that by applying ways of increasing self-efficacy of teachers in teacher training, Improving their socio-economic status and marital satisfaction in the course of employment can be increased to improve the mental health and job satisfaction among helped them.
