Aim: This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of career path-based counseling with career path constructivism counseling on employees’ career well-being and adaptability. Methods: The study was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The research population consisted of all staff of the Shahid Beheshti University. Sampling was done voluntarily and among volunteer staff for career path counseling. Thus, 45 people were selected and randomly assigned to two experimental groups (career path welfare counseling group and constructivist ) and a control group (15 people in each group). Data were collected using the Career Welfare Questionnaire (researcher-made) and Career Adaptability (Savickas and Porfeli, 2012). Result: Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, including multivariate analysis and repeated measures were used to analyze the research data. Conclusion: Findings showed that career path-based counseling effectively affects employees' well-being, but career path constructivism counseling did not significantly affect employees' well-being. Also, both career path-based counseling interventions and career path constructivism counseling involved employees' career path adaptation. It can be concluded that career path welfare counseling has impacted adaptability, and career path welfare and constructivist counseling have impacted career path adaptability. These two approaches can promote health and well-being and better adaptability of employees.
