چکیده
Career construction as a construct composed of two dimensions of career adaptability and vocational development can play an effective role in junior high school students’ career decision making readiness. In order to indicating the utility of emotional intelligence in career construction assessment, by selecting a random-in access sample of 514 junior high school students (240 boys, 274 girls) the relationship between emotional intelligence and dimensions of career construction, and incremental validity of emotional intelligence in predicting vocational development was examined. The Pearson's correlations showed considerable positive relations between components and dimensions of emotional intelligence and dimensions of career construction. The Canonical correlation showed 5 canonical variates in relationship between emotional intelligence and dimensions of career construction.
