One of the types of mistreatments that has recently been the focus of attention by researchers is workplace incivility. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of personality traits (five-factor model) and conflict management styles on workplace incivility. The current study also examines the impact of workplace incivility on employees' sense of embarrassment and belongingness as consequences of workplace incivility.Methods: The current study is a survey study with a sample of 650 employees of Maskan Bank offices in Tehran. The sampling method is available and for assessing workplace cruelty, from the Cortina et al. (2001) questionnaire, conflict management styles, from the Rahim & Magner questionnaire (1995), personality traits, from the Saucier questionnaire (1994), the embarrassment, from the Leary, Landel & Patton questionnaire (1996) and Belongingness were used by the Godard questionnaire (2001).Results: The findings of the study indicate that emotional stability, extraversion and conscientiousness have the most effect on jworkplace incivility, respectively. Also among conflict management styles, domination, compromise and integration have the most impact on workplace incivility, respectively. In addition, the results indicate that workplace incivility has a positive effect on employee’s sense of embarrassment and a negative impact on their sense of belongingness.Conclusion: The current study adds to the existing knowledge in the field of organizational behavior and also shows that by controlling a priori factors, it can reduce workplace incivility and prevent its undesirable consequences.}, keywords = {Belongingness,Conflict Management Styles,Embarrassment,Personality Traits,Workplace Incivility}, title_fa = {مطالعه پیشایندها و پیامدهای بی‌ادبی در محل‌کار}, abstract_fa = {هدف: کارکنان سازمان‌های امروزی نسبت به گذشته شاهد رفتارهای نامطلوب و ناپسند بیشتری هستند. یکی از انواع بدرفتاری‌ها که به تازگی مورد توجه پژوهشگران قرار گرفته است، بی‌ادبی در محل‌کار می‌باشد. هدف از این مطالعه بررسی تأثیر ویژگی‌های شخصیتی (مدل پنج عاملی شخصیت) و سبک‌های مدیریت تعارض بر بی‌ادبی در محل‌کار می‌باشد. همچنین مطالعه فعلی به بررسی تأثیر بی‌ادبی در محل‌کار بر حس خجالت و تعلق کارکنان نیز به عنوان پیامدهای بی‌ادبی پرداخته است.روش: پژوهش فعلی یک مطالعه‌ی میدانی و از نوع پیمایشی است که نمونه‌ی آماری آن شامل 650 نفر از کارکنان ادارات بانک مسکن در شهر تهران می‌باشد. روش نمونه‌گیری در دسترس بوده و برای سنجش بی‌ادبی در محل کار از پرسشنامه کورتینا و همکاران (2001)، سبک‌های مدیریت تعارض از پرسشنامه رحیم و مگنر (1995)، ویژگی‌های شخصیتی از پرسشنامه سائوسیر (1994)، خجالت از پرسشنامه لاری، لندل و پتون (1996) و تعلق از پرسشنامه گودارد (2001) استفاده شده است.یافته‌ها: یافته‌های پژوهش حاکی از آن است که ویژگی‌های ثبات هیجانی، برون‌گرایی و باوجدان‌بودن به ترتیب بیشترین تأثیر را بر بی‌ادبی در محل‌کار می‌گذارند. همچنین از میان سبک‌های مدیریت تعارض، تسلط، یکپارچگی و مصالحه نیز به ترتیب بیشترین اثرگذاری را بر بی‌ادبی در محل‌کار دارند. بعلاوه، نتایج نشانگر آن است که بی‌ادبی در محل‌کار بر حس خجالت کارکنان تأثیر مثبت و بر حس تعلق آنان تأثیری منفی می‌گذارد.نتایج: پژوهش فعلی بر دانش موجود در حوزه رفتار سازمانی می‌افزاید و بعلاوه نشان می‌دهد که با کنترل عوامل پیشینی، می‌توان بی‌ادبی در محل‌کار را کاهش داده و از پیامدهای نامطلوب آن جلوگیری کرد.}, keywords_fa = {بی‌ ادبی در محل‌ کار,تعلق,خجالت,سبک‌ های مدیریت تعارض و ویژگی‌ های شخصیتی}, url = {https://jcoc.sbu.ac.ir/article_100601.html}, eprint = {https://jcoc.sbu.ac.ir/article_100601_a17630f8ab99e7fb70e851fade637fcf.pdf} }
